Coated Bentonite Pellets
Time Released Pellets for sealing, plugging and well abandonment
Product Description
COATED BENTONITE PELLETS are lenticularly shaped compressed tablets made from highly swelling bentonite and coated with a biodegradeable non-sticking film that prevents the pellets from sticking to each other once deposited into the borehole with a standing water column, allowing for deeper applications than non-coated pellets.
COATED BENTONITE PELLETS are available in 1/4”(0.64mm) or 3/8”(0.95cm) sizes.
Applications
COATED BENTONITE PELLETS are designed to fall through standing water columns of up to 160 vertical metres without bridging. The coating film prevents the pellets from beginning to swell for 30 minutes (in fresh water).
Once the COATED BENTONITE PELLETS react and swell they form a chemically resilient, low-permeability, flexible seal.
