Product Description
SODA ASH is a granular form of sodium carbonate (Na²CO³) primarly used to condition and soften water and raise pH
Applications
SODA ASH is used to adjust pH into alkaline and remove calcium (hardness) from make-up water. This will allow for maximum performance from bentonite and polymers.
Advantages
• Easy to mix
• Can eliminate calcium by converting it to insoluble carbonate
• Adjusts pH into alkaline range
• Improves performance of bentonite and polymers
Usage
Treatment levels will depend on the severity of the hardenss or acidity of the make-up water.
¼ – 2 kilograms per 1000 litres of make up water is sufficient.
Use as required to reduce hardness of the make-up water but do not add in excess as overtreatment can then reduce the performance of bentonite and polymers
